Miguel Álvarez’s side lose against Sevilla Atlético who overcame Etta Eyong’s early goal
The team coached by Miguel Álvarez faced a tough match, as it was the third B team they faced this season. On this occasion, they had to face Sevilla Atlético, who came into the game with ten points (two wins and four draws). The Mini Submarine started very well the match at the Jesús Navas stadium thanks to an early goal by Etta Eyong, but the home team was able to recover and fight back to end up winning with goals by Antonetti and Ramón Martínez.
The game had barely begun at the Jesús Navas stadium when the Mini Submarine, who dominated the early stages, opened the scoring and silenced the crowd (0-1, min. 7). An incredible through ball from Tiago Geralnik found its way to Arnau Solà, who in turn played the ball back for Etta Eyong to slot home past Alberto.
However, with little time to savour the good start, the home side responded quickly and forcefully. Antonetti was the scorer of the equaliser (1-1, min. 11). From that moment on, both teams tightened up at the back in order to avoid conceding more and found it difficult to attack. The Groguets had two clear chances, but neither got the desired reward: a header by Hugo Pérez and a long-range shot by Tiago Geralnik. Sevilla Atlético tried through Manu Bueno.
In the second half, the Yellows were unable to find their style of play. The home team were able to impose their pace, with an aggressive and dense game, taking the lead in the 57th minute. From a corner kick, the ball was loose inside the area and Ramón Martínez was able to take advantage of the opportunity to make the final score 2-1.
Miguel Álvarez made five changes for the last half hour of the match, looking for a change of dynamic. In fact, the Mini Submarine tried until the final whistle, with a very clear chance for Etta Eyong in the 85th minute, but luck did not smile on them and they ended up losing in a match in which they deserved more.
