Villarreal CF is offering its season ticket holders the opportunity to release their seats for the 2025/26 season via the Season-Ticket Holder’s Portal.
Through this service, if the seat is sold, season-ticket holders will receive up to 40% of the ticket price. This discount will then be applied to the cost of renewing their season ticket for the 2026/27 season.
As always, Villarreal CF will continue to reward season ticket holders who attend matches in person above all other initiatives, such as the seat release option. This has always been the club’s philosophy, having been a pioneer in introducing such a service. For this reason, transferring a season ticket for home matches in official competitions will not count as match attendance. Nevertheless, this service is available for those season-ticket holders unable to attend a fixture so they may benefit from a discount.

Once logged into the private portal, season ticket holders will be able to release their seat if they cannot attend a Villarreal home fixture. Once the request has been confirmed, the club will place the seat on sale, and only if the ticket is sold, the holder will receive 40% of the ticket price corresponding to their area of the stadium, which will be applied towards renewing their season ticket for the following season.
Who can use this service?
All season ticket holders, except those located in Casals Grocs, Casals Blaus, Super Tribuna, VIP Box and Grada Animación, will be able to release their seats.
Can I release my seat and then cancel if I change my mind?
Yes. Once the request has been submitted, the club will make the seat available through its official sales channels (ticket offices, online sales and official stores). If the season-ticket holder changes their mind, they may cancel the release up to two hours before kick-off, provided the ticket has not been sold.
If the ticket has already been sold, the season-ticket holder will no longer be able to recover their seat.

How will I receive the amount corresponding to my released seat?
Villarreal CF will apply a discount of 40% of the ticket price, provided it has been sold. This amount will be deducted from the price of the season ticket renewal for the following campaign.
What is the maximum discount I can get by releasing my seat?
Villarreal CF will continue to prioritise attendance over seat release. However, this option allows season ticket holders to benefit from a discount if they cannot attend a particular match.
To regulate this service and to encourage attendance, the club has set the following limits:
- GOLD (ORO) season-ticket holders may receive a maximum discount of 50% on the price of their 2026/27 season ticket.
- The rest of season-ticket holders may reduce the price of their renewal to a minimum equivalent of the GOLD (ORO) season ticket in their respective section of the stadium, plus 25%.
If I release my seat, will it count towards my attendance record for next season?
No. Releasing a seat does not count as match attendance. Season ticket holders should remember that Villarreal CF rewards those who attend games in person with the most significant discounts when renewing their passes, provided they have missed no more than three games, thereby achieving GOLD (ORO) status.
Will I be able to track my released seats?
Yes. In the private area of the Season Ticket Holder’s Portal, members can track the seats they have released and how much has been discounted from their season ticket renewal for the 2026/27 season.
