The Endavant Solidaritat project brings together all the solidarity initiatives promoted or supported by Villarreal CF and its Foundation. The Yellow Submarine collaborates both financially and socially with numerous Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), institutions, foundations, associations and special centres, mainly from the province of Castellón and the Comunitat Valenciana, such as Fundación Roig Alfonso, Fundación Trinidad Alfonso, ASPANION, Cáritas, AECC, Afanias, Asociación Conquistando Escalones, among many others.
Hospital visits, blood donations and food and toy collections
Through this initiative, Villarreal CF regularly promotes food collections for people at risk of social exclusion and toy collections for children from foster centres in the province of Castellón. Likewise, every season, the Yellow Submarine, in collaboration with the Centre de Transfusió de la Comunitat Valenciana (CTCV), takes part in blood and bone marrow donation campaigns, making the Estadio de la Cerámica available as a donation point and encouraging the participation of Villarreal CF supporters. In addition, the club also carries out hospital visits during the Christmas period.
Furthermore, the club sponsors, gives visibility to and promotes solidarity causes of general interest, such as the fight against breast cancer, as well as many other personal causes bravely and tirelessly supported by people from our province.
Maximum commitment to the DANA
Villarreal CF has been one of the organisations most committed to supporting those affected by the DANA. The club has allocated almost €3 million to directly help those affected and to rebuild sports facilities in the devastated areas.
The largest financial contribution has been devoted to the reconstruction of seven football pitches in La Torre, Beniparrell, Aldaia, Alfafar, Catarroja, Algemesí and Massanassa, through the Alcem-se Esport project of the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso.
In addition, the Yellow Submarine made an immediate donation after the tragedy occurred, contributing €500,000 to Cáritas and the Red Cross. The club also provided direct support to season-ticket holders and club employees who suffered material losses.
A solidarity institutional gift
The club decided to change the approach to its institutional gift and dedicate it to raising awareness and supporting different solidarity causes.
During the 2024/25 season, Villarreal CF carried out an original solidarity initiative to promote the adoption of abandoned dogs. Under the name Arte Canino, this joint project between the club and the AUPA animal shelter (Adopta a Un Perro Abandonado) gave visibility to more than twenty homeless dogs.
Now, the club has entrusted the institutional gift to the Centre Ocupacional de Vila-real. The users of this centre for people with functional diversity will handcraft the club’s gift for visiting teams at the Estadio de la Cerámica across the different competitions (LALIGA, Champions League and Copa del Rey) during the 2025/26 season.
The gift consists of an original scarf, made using the traditional trencadís technique, incorporating the colours of Villarreal and the visiting team as a symbol of unity and sportsmanship between both clubs.
Raising awareness and fundraising
One of the most notable cases within this project took place in 2021, when Villarreal CF rallied behind young Zoe Prieto, a girl from Vila-real who required surgery due to a complex heart condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot. The Yellow Submarine was actively involved in fundraising efforts to cover the costly operation at Boston Children’s Hospital. The surgery was a success and saved the life of the young Villarreal supporter.
Solidarity Stand
Another important initiative in this area is the Grada Solidaria (Solidarity Stand). Villarreal CF distributes tickets for matches involving its main teams to the associations it collaborates with, allowing them to sell the tickets at a symbolic price and raise funds for their charitable causes.
