Cuenca’s story and his relationship with Villarreal is something very special. When he was a boy, the youngster became a football fan by watching his father play alongside his friends in a futsal team in an amateur league in Madrid. They wore yellow, so, in order to be able to cheer his father on, his family gifted him a full Villarreal kit, which he wore with pride during the games.

He then became a Yellows fan, following them from afar. Shirts, scarves and even personalised mobile phone cases were part of Cuenca’s childhood and adolescence Now, aged 20, he has fulfilled his dream of having a contract with Villarreal CF, with the chance of being able to pull on the shirt that he used to wear to cheer on his father 15 years ago.
