Schools enjoyed the fourth matchday of this fun competition for students from across the province.
The Inter-School Tournament held its fourth round this Thursday at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza.
It was an exciting occasion featuring teams from CEIP Pare Villalonga, CEIP Sant Joan de Moró, CEIP Costur, CEIP Leonard Mingarro, CEIP Luis Vives, CEIP Don José Alba, Virgen del Carmen, CEIP Concepción Arenal, CEIP Cervantes, San Vicente Ferrer, CEIP Germans Ochando, CEIP Sant Joan de Moró, CRA L’Ullastre and CEIP Riu Millars.
On this occasion, teams in the gold phase played the round of 16, those in the silver phase contested the quarter-finals, while the bronze phase teams also took part in a couple of matches.
The Year 5 students from the participating schools will take part in the next matchday on May 24.
The Inter-School Tournament, a sporting ‘classic’ in our province
Villarreal CF has resumed the organisation of the Inter-School Tournament, a fun eight-a-side youth football competition that left a lasting mark on an entire generation of young students across the province of Castellón during the 2000s.
Through the Endavant Club Groguet programme, the Yellow Submarine promotes this exciting tournament among pupils from schools across the province. A fun and educational way to encourage participation in sport, promote sporting values, and bring young people from our region together through football.
