Villarreal Women head coach Sara Monforte appeared before the media at the press conference prior to the match against Levante UD, corresponding to Gameweek 25 of the 2022/23 Finetwork Liga F season. The game will take place on Saturday, at 6:15pm CEST at Levante’s Training Ground in Buñol.
Levante UD
“The team is doing very well now. If we had been this good from the start, we would be in a different position. Tomorrow’s game against Levante UD is one of the toughest matches in the Finetwork Liga F. Apart from FC Barcelona, I think they are one of the best teams in the competition and their head coach is one of the ones I like the most. The truth is that I expect a match with a great pace. Levante UD are a team with a lot of alternatives and they have two players like Mayra and Alba Redondo on a great scoring streak.”
The final stretch
“The key is going to be knowing how we have to face these six finals that we have left. It’s a fight in which many teams are involved, although in the end it all depends on what we do and that’s what’s important. The team is ready and we have to be strong until the end to achieve our objective.”
Two matches at home and four away
“We have some very difficult opponents left, such as Levante UD, Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, for example, but I think we are in our best moment of the season. Now is a good opportunity to compete with them and try to get as many points as possible. I’m sure that we’ll reach the end of the season with the objective achieved, although it’s true that it’s been a complicated season, but the girls are doing a great job and they deserve the prize.”
