The big Endavant Igualtat party

Villarreal gathered more than 400 people at the end-of-campaign event at the Centre of Congresses, Fairs and Meetings.

Villarreal CF enjoyed the Endavant Igualtat end-of-season party on Tuesday. The organisations and teams from the Yellows Academy came together at the Vila-real Congress, Fairs and Meetings Centre to enjoy an unforgettable day of games and activities, which culminated in a huge meal in the middle of the festivities in honour of the patron saint of Saint Paschal Baylón.

This traditional festival, which was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has been held again after three seasons and the expectation has been at its peak. The event was very well received and was attended by more than 400 people. Among them, first team players Yeremy Pino and Jorge Cuenca, who joined in this great party for equality. The forward from the Canary Islands, a youth product of the club, was even able to greet some of the people from the centres with whom he enjoyed meetings and experiences during his different stages as a player in youth football.

Villarreal Women, Villarreal B, Villarreal C, the U19s (Juvenil A), the U18s (Juvenil Roda), the U17s (Juvenil B), the U16s (Cadete A) and the U15s (Cadete Roda) have shared a fantastic meeting with the associations that have participated throughout the season in the yellow club’s Endavant Igualtat project: Cris La Vall (mental illness), Down Castellón (Down syndrome), Aspropace (cerebral palsy), CAU Castelló (autism), La Panderola (special needs), Residencia Virgen de Gracia (senior citizens), AFA Vila-real and Almassora (Alzheimer’s) and Centro Plana Baixa de Nules (foster care).

Fun reigned supreme on a day of enjoyment with all kinds of games and activities: a 3v3 inflatable pitch, dartboard, karaoke, board games, photocall and the presence of Groguet, Villarreal’s mascot, who didn’t want to miss this Endavant Igualtat party.

Throughout the day, the memory of José Manuel Llaneza was also very present. The former vice-president of Villarreal CF was one of the driving forces behind the Endavant Igualtat project and always led the festivities with associations and centres in the province.

Endavant Igualtat, a pioneering project

Endavant Igualtat is a project promoted by Villarreal CF that is committed to the education and personal development of football players. The main teams of the Yellows ACcdemy and Villarreal Women support different special centres in the province of Castellón, with the added objective of helping the members in their personal growth and with a sensitivity to the needs and difficulties of others, sharing their experiences with them in an enriching exchange of values that promotes and favours the growth of both parties.

The initiative consists of carrying out social activities throughout the season, with regular meetings both at the centres and at Villarreal CF’s facilities. As far as possible, members of the centres attend matches and cheer on their teams at the Training Ground.
