Villarreal Brisbane Academy becomes the third official partner academy of Villarreal CF in Australia
Through the Villarreal Academy international expansion project, Villarreal CF announces its third official partner academy in Brisbane, Australia that will go by the name of Villarreal Brisbane Academy. The academy will kick off with an ID Clinic in April 2023 and, subsequently, open its doors for players to register for the academy which trains and competes at the Spanish Centre Acacia Ridge and has two full-time coaches.
Just like Villarreal Sydney and Villarreal Melbourne in Australia, Villarreal Brisbane Academy will offer unrivalled opportunities for local players to train under the methodology of a leading European soccer club. The academy’s players will have the chance to visit Villarreal’s facilities in Spain to train with and play friendly matches against Yellows Academy teams.
Villarreal Brisbane Academy director, Jacobo Muñoz, has a clear mission for the academy: “We will offer the genuine Villarreal training methodology and curriculum. We will be entering our teams into various competitions and we will also arrange yearly tours to Villarreal to give children and parents experiences of a lifetime.” In addition, Jacobo emphasises that the academy’s long-term goal is “to deliver the best soccer training in Australia and constantly have our coaches liaise with Villarreal to ensure the most up-to-date training techniques are followed. We want to offer the Villarreal opportunity to as many children as possible, but quality of training will always be the priority. All in all, we want to create a real pathway for our players.”
In addition to the newly founded Villarreal Brisbane Academy, Villarreal CF already has a number of partner academies around the world in countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, Israel, Australia, South Korea, and Malaysia, among others, thanks to the Villarreal Academy international expansion project.
