The Villarreal head coach has highlighted the great form his team is in at the end of the championship
Villarreal’s head coach, Quique Setién, spoke to the media to analyse the Yellows’ 5-1 win over Athletic Club. He was happy with the emphatic result: “We were very effective and we played a great game. It was vibrant and with alternatives. We were able to solve the problems and play an almost perfect game.”
On the other hand, Setién underlined the good momentum that his players are experiencing in the decisive stretch of the season: “We are now with a point of inspiration that is needed to get results. I always said that it was important to get to the end of the season well because that’s when everything is at stake and we’ve achieved that. We are motivated and with a great performance. This translates into goals and points.”
Finally, the Villarreal head coach expressed his satisfaction with the victory and with increasing the gap on the chasing pack: “We have to focus on doing things well, win the games we have and see how far we get to the end of the league. We’ve extended our lead over the chasing pack. It’s very positive. Europe is very close.”
