More than 1000 older adults enjoyed this major provincial event on Friday
The Juegos Castellonenses celebrated an exciting final to their sixth edition this Friday in Torreblanca, bringing together over a thousand older adults from across the province of Castellón to take part in a variety of sporting and recreational activities.
Participants from 26 municipalities across the province enjoyed a day of friendly competition, taking part in adapted pentathlon, pétanque, hiking and choreography, as well as traditional games such as tir al pot, guiñote, dominoes and singing. It was a festive day filled with fun and entertainment for the elderly.

The grand final got under way at 9:45am with an exciting opening ceremony, during which the participants proudly paraded through the venue representing their hometowns. Following opening speeches and a group photo with local authorities, the competition began in earnest, taking place across three different venues in Torreblanca: the football pitch, the sports hall and Torrenostra beach.
To close out the final, a prize-giving ceremony was held, followed by a monumental paella cooked and served by the Torreblanca Town Council.
