Miguel Álvarez underlined that being strong at home is key ahead of promotion

The Villarreal B head coach appeared in front of the media to analyse the upcoming important match between the Mini Submarine and Algeciras CF at the Mini Estadi (Saturday, 7pm CEST).

Miguel Álvarez underlined that it will be an attractive match between two sides who want to be towards the top of the table: “We’re two teams who are fighting for the same aims. Now, the two teams go into the game after a positive run, with a number of matches without a defeat. It will be a hard-fought game.”

The Mini Submarine manager underlined the Andalusian side’s various strengths: “They’re a team that are dangerous in front of goal. They have 40 at the moment. They’re a direct team, who can also play nice football too. They know how to play, they know how to attack quickly and how to be strong from set pieces. They have a lot of goalscoring threat up front. With Álvaro Romero and Roni, they have two of the top scorers in the league.”

Finally, the Villarreal B head coach underlined the importance of being strong at the Mini Estadi for a closing stage of the season, where the Yellows hope to qualify for the promotion play-off. “We have some very important matches left. This is one of them. They’re looking good away from home, and we want to be strong at home to be towards the top and fight for promotion. We want to fight for this aim.”
