Quique Setién has expressed his frustration at the defeat in the league opener against Real Betis
The Villarreal CF head coach appeared in the press room after the match against Real Betis (1-2). Quique Setién was frustrated with the defeat against Real Betis: “We lacked freshness and inspiration when it came to making decisions. Despite that, we had the point and it slipped away from us at the last minute. We had to defend the action better”.
The coach from Santander was also critical of his team, but reminded them that it was the first match of the season: “We were superior, but we were a little shaky. There are players who lack lucidity. I would also say that we weren’t well positioned and we rushed a lot of things. It’s too early to look at the results. We have to keep growing as a team.”
