The Yellows got two wins and a draw in the second phase of LaLiga Genuine
What a performance of our team with intellectual disabilities (Escuela de Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual -EDI) in the second phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander! The team, coached by Sonia Alcón, travelled over the weekend to Bilbao to play the second phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander at Lezama.
The great party that all the participating teams have experienced began on Friday with a spectacular opening ceremony attended by the captains of the 22 participating teams along with Nerea Ortiz, vice-president of Athletic Club; Clemente Villaverde, president of the LaLiga Foundation; Vicente del Bosque, Ambassador of LaLiga Genuine Santander and José Ángel Iribar, Athletic Club Legend, who were in charge of welcoming the Genuine family.
And in a weekend marked by values such as comradeship and the desire to excel, the Villarreal EDI achieved some fantastic results. These were the Submarine’s results in the second phase:

- Villarreal CF 3-0 Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona
- Villarreal CF 0-0 SD Eibar
