Juanto earns three points for Villarreal B as the Yellows close in on the promotion playoff positions
Villarreal B were victorious after defeating AE Prat with a Juanto goal. At times both teams dominated but it was Villarreal that ended up taking the win and claiming victory. The B Submarine now lie in 5th place 4 points behind Atlético Baleares but with the return of the injured players things could easily change for manager Lluís Planagumà.
El Prat were in control in the first half. It was clear the yellows were missing several key players as the home side dominated in the midfield. Replacement goalkeeper Zagala proved his worth in the absence of Aitor (now with the first team due to an injured Asenjo). He was strongly instrumental with diving saves and brave interventions.
After half time and a bit of encouragement from Planagumà, the determination and intensity arrived. Imposing their quality along the wings was a clear improvement as they began to discourage the home side. In the final few minutes, the Yellows found their reward after a corner kick was latched on to the head of Juanto and went into the back of the net. Thus, the Villarreal B returns to get the three points and monitors the promotion playoff positions.
