The preseason friendly will be played on 11th August at the Weserstadion
Villarreal CF has confirmed the first friendly match for preseason. The Submarine will face SV Werder Bremen on 11th August at the Weserstadion in Bremen (2:30pm CEST). The Yellows have guaranteed their place in next season’s Europa League with one game to go against Real Madrid to see out the season. The club is currently working on the schedule for the upcoming preseason with the purpose of making sure the team is in the best form possible to take on the 2018/19 season.

SV Werder Bremen are a classic German football team. This season, Florian Kohfeldt’s side finished in 11th place in the Bundesliga with 42 points.
Werder Bremen have won the Bundesliga on four ocassions (1964/65, 1987/88, 1992/93 y 2003/04). They have also won the German Cup six times (1960/61, 1990/91, 1993/94, 1998/99, 2003/04 y 2008/09). The last title they won was the German Supercup in 2009. Nevertheless, their biggest recent success was in 2004, when they won the double, both the league and the cup.
