The former Yellows goalkeeper was included in the club’s historic XI by the fans
Sergio Asenjo received a commemorative submarine from the president of Villarreal CF, Fernando Roig, for being part of the club’s historic XI, voted for by the Villarreal CF fans and unveiled at the Legends Match, held on 25th March at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
This beautiful distinction was presented on the pitch of the Estadio de la Cerámica, Sergio Asenjo’s home for nine seasons. The fans took the opportunity to give a standing ovation to the legendary former Submarine goalkeeper, who played 258 times for Villarreal.
