Villarreal launch the IX Trofeu de Pilota Valenciana

The escala i corda tournament will be played on 9^th and 17^th May at the Salvador Sagols Trinquet in Vila-real

Villarreal CF presented the IX Trofeu de Pilota Valenciana (9^th Valencian Pilota Trophy) this Wednesday at the Salvador Sagols Trinquet in Vila-real. First team players Raúl Albiol, Kiko Femenía, Pau Navarro and Sergi Cardona, who will act as ambassadors for the tournament this year, attended the presentation event, where they were joined by the pilotaris taking part in this professional tournament in the escala i corda variation.

The semi-final round will be held in the Salvador Sagols on Friday 9^th May, coinciding with the start of the Sant Pasqual patron saint festivities. The first game, which will start at 5pm CEST, will pit the “Sergi Cardona” team, made up of Marc and Conillet against the “Pau Navarro” team, made up of Diego and Nacho. Then, from 6:30pm CEST onwards, the “Kiko Femenía” pairing, formed by Puchol II and Tomás II, will take on the “Raúl Albiol” team, represented by J. Salvador and Hilari.

The grand final will be held on Saturday 17^th May at 5pm CEST, while the match for third and fourth place will take place at 6:30pm CEST at the Salvador Sagols Trinquet in Vila-real.

A classic part of Endavant Esports

The Trofeu de Pilota Valenciana, organised by the Federació de Pilota Valenciana (Valencian Pilota Federation), in collaboration with Villarreal CF, is one of the six competitions that form part of the Endavant Esports programme, a vertical part of the club’s CSR and sustainability project, aimed at promoting and encouraging sport in the province of Castellón.
