The exercise, coordinated by the club’s Operations and Security Area, verified the effectiveness of the existing Self‑Protection Plan
Villarreal CF carried out a partial emergency evacuation drill at the Estadio de la Cerámica to assess the effectiveness of the existing Self‑Protection Plan and confirm whether the technical and human resources at the venue are adequate and sufficient to respond to an emergency.
The exercise simulated an evacuation due to a fire inside the facility and involved all the departments included in the Emergency Action Plan, as well as around one hundred volunteers, club staff and students from the IES Miralcamp secondary school in Vila‑real. They were positioned in the Preferencia Stand and the reduced‑mobility area, the specific points where the evacuation scenario was executed.
The evacuation drill, coordinated by Villarreal CF’s Operations and Security Area, not only demonstrated the effectiveness of the response to an emergency but also fulfilled several key objectives: training the personnel involved in the organisation to react correctly in emergency situations, verifying the suitability of the resources allocated to this type of event and, finally, confirming that the established procedures function as intended.
