The club opens its ninth academy in the United States for young talents from U4 to U23

Villarreal CF is continuing to expand in North America. The Yellows have launched Villarreal Chicago Academy, the ninth Villarreal Academy in the United States. Young talents from the state of Illinois, who range from U4 to U23, will be able to sign up for the prestigious academy which is run under the club’s methodology.

With the support of Villarreal CF, the Chicagoan academy will help players and coaches from Villarreal Chicago Academy to reach their full potential. Youngsters from the academy who stand out in training showing their high level of technical skills and exemplary behaviour will be invited to train with the Yellows Academy at Villarreal CF’s facilities in Spain.

Dean Delp, Villarreal Chicago managing director, talked about the opportunities this partnership will give to young players in Chicago: “This partnership will offer unparalleled opportunities for the development and exposure of youth players in the area. The goal of our academy is to develop players on and off the soccer field to their fullest potential. This will be accomplished by having our coaches receive a world-class education from the Villarreal CF team. We also have a path to professionalism where we will send our top players to Spain to train with Villarreal’s teams.”
