The renaming ceremony will take place on Pitch 1 from 12:30pm CEST and will be open to the public
The José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground will be officially unveiled this coming Friday at a renaming event to be held at Pitch 1 at 12:30pm CEST, which will be open to the general public.
The event will serve to pay tribute to a key man in the history of Villarreal CF on the day that will mark one year since his death. José Manuel Llaneza served as manager, CEO and vice-president during his 28 years at the club.
With his impeccable work and faithful dedication throughout his immaculate career at Villarreal, José Manuel Llaneza earned the respect, affection and admiration of the football world. His great work was recognised on countless occasions. He received the Gold Badge of Villarreal CF in 2016, the Gold Medal of the Federació de Fútbol de la Comunitat Valenciana (Valencian Football Federation) in 2020 and the Gold Medal of the city of Vila-real in 2022.
