Sara Monforte has analysed the upcoming match against Madrid CFF (Saturday, 4pm CET)
Villarreal Women head coach, Sara Monforte, appeared before the media at the press conference prior to the match against Madrid CFF, corresponding to Gameweek 19 of the 2022/23 Finetwork Liga F season. The match will take place on Saturday 11th February, from 4pm, at the Mini Estadi of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground. These are the statements of the Yellows coach:
The importance of getting points
“The team, after the match against Sevilla FC in which we wanted to have taken a point, know that tomorrow we have to be demanding and score points. The game against Madrid CFF is very important for us, as we have to try to stay out of the relegation zone. The team is very good and we hope to see the best version of Villarreal Women tomorrow.”

“It’s a tough match. They’ve changed their head coach, but relating to how they line up, they haven’t changed. They’re a team with a lot of depth. They have high-quality players. We have to give 200% to get points.”
The new signings
“The integration of both players has been very easy. Pilar is a veteran player, who has played more than 200 games in the league, and as a midfielder she knows exactly what she has to do. And Laura is a player who has surprised me. She knows how to read the spaces very well, she has a great shot and a very good one-on-one. Both of them are already part of the team.”
