Villarreal CF and SanSan Festival open registration for the sixth edition of this successful music contest
Villarreal CF and SanSan Festival have officially opened the registration period for the sixth edition of Groc Talent. From Monday 7 July to 3 August, artists and bands from the Valencian Community can sign up to take part in this exciting and established music competition.
With the support of the Vila-real City Council, Villarreal CF and the Benicàssim-based festival are once again promoting local musical talent, offering artists the unique opportunity to perform live at the Estadio de la Cerámica before Villarreal CF home matches during the LaLiga season.
As the ultimate prize, the winning act of each edition earns a spot on the lineup of the SanSan Festival 2026, one of Spain’s top indie, pop and rock music festivals.
Previous winners of Groc Talent include Red Smoke, Valiente Bosque, La Aldea, Pasqual Riera, and La Pelona—all of whom fulfilled their dream of performing on a major festival stage.
What do I need to participate?
To register for the contest, applicants must complete a form providing the following information:
- Name of the artist or band
- A short biography
- A recent photo of the band or artist
- Email address
- Contact phone number
- Three songs
- One video for the jury to evaluate the band’s performance
Applicants are encouraged to include links to Spotify, SoundCloud, BandCamp, or YouTube with original content, to verify that the band has a sufficient repertoire.
When selecting participants, preference will be given to solo artists or bands based in the province of Castellón, provided that all members are over 16 and at least one is over 18.
Only musical projects within the SanSan Festival style (Indie, Pop, Rock, Alternative…) will be accepted, and it is essential to have at least 45 minutes of original music.
