Setién underlined that his side will come up against one of the most in-form teams in LaLiga

Villarreal CF head coach, Quique Setién, has appeared before the media at the press conference ahead of the match against Real Betis tomorrow (Sunday) at the Estadio de la Cerámica, which will kick off at 6.30pm CET.

These were the most important comments from the Santander-born coach:

The Centenary Party

“It was really moving. I loved the event. It was a great overview of the history of the club and the city and the recognition of all the work that has been done over the years which is of extraordinary merit.”

The opposition

“Real Betis are a team I know well. They do a lot of things well and are showing a very high level of effectiveness in front of goal. They have very good players and mechanisms and registers that can complicate things for us.”

What he espects

“It will be a game with choices for both teams. They are in a good moment, despite the defeat in Europe. We’re going to want to play in the opposition half and know how to defend with the ball. I think efficiency in front of goal will be key to the outcome of the game.”

Gerard Moreno

“Gerard is getting better each day, with more spark and with a higher tempo, but we have to control him because we have a heavy fixture load playing on Sundays and Thursdays.”
