Gonçalo Manuel Ganchino Guedes (Benavente, Portugal, 29th November 1996) is a Portuguese attacker with a lot of talent and skill in attack. He is a quick forward with a lot of tricks up his sleve. Among his great virtues, his great shot from mid-to-long range and a great ability to dribble past opponents stand out.
Despite joining the Submarine from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, Gonçalo Guedes has spent the first half of the current season on loan at SL Benfica. It was precisely in the outfit from Lisbon where the Portugal international took his first steps as a professional.
After a brilliant breakthrough at SL Benfica (96 appearances), Guedes joined Paris Saint-Germain FC. In France, he made 13 appearances before making the lead to Spanish football. At Valencia CF, he was at his best, making 178 appearances. During his time with them, where he played under Marcelino, he scored 36 goals and provided 30 assists.
With the Portugal national team, he has played 32 games and scored seven goals.
