The Norwegian is a powerful centre forward to lead the line (he is 195cm tall), a powerful runner and an intimidating presence in the box. A top No.'9' for the Yellows' attack who is left footed.

He has signed for five seasons with Villarreal CF. Alexander Sorloth (Trondheim, 5th December 1995), who has played the last two seasons on loan at Real Sociedad, scoring 24 goals in 90 games, came through the youth ranks at Rosenborg and has since played for Bodo Glimt, Groningen, Midtjylland, Crystal Palace, Gent and Trabzonspor. With the Turkish team he 'exploded' by scoring 33 goals in 49 games. It should also be noted that Sorloth is an international with the Norwegian national team, with whom he has played 49 official matches, scoring 16 goals.

He also played for his country's youth teams.
