Pacheta: “We have to go to Getafe to win”

The Yellows head coach expects a tough and competitive game at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez

Villarreal CF head coach, Pacheta, appeared before the media in the press room of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground to talk about the match against Getafe, which will take place tomorrow at 2pm CEST at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

These were the most important statements he made:

Working on correcting mistakes

“I’m satisfied with the first 60 minutes we played against Girona. We are analysing both that and the rest of the game to keep improving every day. Of the four games we’ve played, the last one is the one that most resembles what we want, but in which we didn’t get a good result, but I’m still very excited because I think I have the necessary conditions to win.”

A message for the fans

“The fans must continue to have confidence. This is their team, their Villarreal and they need to believe that their Villarreal will win again and that they will get us back on track. My job is to give them the necessary tools to do so.”

Getafe CF

“Getafe CF are a very competitive team who generate tremendous stress in your area. They play a game that on the surface looks simple but makes it tremendously complicated over the 90 minutes. We have to be a Villarreal side that dominates the game and generates chances with the ball.”

Keys to the match

“They are a team that punishes you a lot in the penalty area. They have players who are very good finishers, so we have to be attentive to every ball that comes into our area and be more attentive to the chances we have so that we miss fewer opportunities.”
