Villarreal B head coach, Miguel Álvarez, appeared at the press conference prior to the match against Albacete BP, corresponding to Gameweek 37 of LaLiga SmartBank, which will take place this Saturday 22nd April at 2pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

“It’s an important match. The team is doing very well. I’m expecting a very competitive team, but it’s more complicated, because they’re the surprise team of the second division at the moment. We have to compete at a high level to come close to winning.”

“We are trying not to let things happen that have happened to us. We are with young people and they appear more often. The teams are very experienced, they take the games where they want and they make you desperate. Spells come and go. No one is making a fool of us, that’s what’s important. We are competing.”

“We are trying to get the boys to adapt to this division and to playing with a lot of people. In Primera RFEF there weren’t so many people travelling and now there are more. We’re playing on our pitch, but with their fans. We have to get used to it and accept it. We still have rivals like Levante UD. That has to be a motivation for the lads, with a lot of people in the stands, rather than in other categories with empty pitches.”
