Sara Monforte’s side have extended the youngster’s contract until 2026
Villarreal CF has reached an agreement with the teenager Lucía Romero, to continue playing for Villarreal Women until 2026.
A future prospect for Villarreal Women
Lucía Romero Marco (31/12/2006) is a young player with a promising future. The left-footed midfielder stands out for being well-rounded despite her young age, with great ball control and a good dribbling ability. In addition, Lucia is characterised by her vision and danger in front of goal.
Next up for Villarreal Women is a game against Valencia CF at the Estadio Antonio Puchades on Tuesday 24th January at 9pm. The match corresponds to Gameweek 16 of the 2022/23 Finetwork Liga F season.
The player from Alquerías del Niño Perdido (Castellón) made her debut on 16th October 2022 in the Finetwork Liga F at the age of just 15 years, ten months and 16 days. Today, Romero has already played 85 minutes (divided between four matches) in the top flight of Spanish women’s football and also played in a the Copa de la Reina, in the Round of 32 this year.
