The town welcomed 160 participants to the sixth stop of the fun-filled tournament
Vinaròs enjoyed an unforgettable day thanks to the 3v3 ‘Copa Endavant’. The town hosted this Saturday 22nd April the tournament promoted by Villarreal CF to celebrate the club’s centenary in the different municipalities of the province of Castellón.
More than 160 players and 46 teams came together to enjoy one of the most entertaining sporting events in our province. The participants, boys and girls aged between 6 and 12, gathered in the Carpa de l’Atlàntic in Vinaròs to compete and have a great time with Villarreal.
The winners were Espartanos Amposta in the Groc category and Un día partit in the Blau category, who received their respective medals from Begoña López, councillor for sports, and Guillem Alsina, mayor of Vinaròs, and sealed their place in the final, which will be held on 10 June on the pitch of the Estadio de la Cerámica. In addition, all the players received a special t-shirt for the tournament, as well as a backpack with a welcome pack.
In addition to the matches, Villarreal CF brought to Vinaròs a wide variety of games, inflatables and activities to ensure the children had fun. As if that wasn’t enough, the UEFA Europa League trophy, won in 2021 against Manchester United in Gdansk (Poland) also travelled to the town for fans to have their photograph taken with it. Legendary ex-footballer and club ambassador Marcos Senna also visited the town.
This special tournament, in addition to Vinaròs, has already been held in Segorbe, Almassora, Benicàssim, Nules and La Vall d’Uixó.
