The Yellows will play two matches in Andalusia against Valencia CF and Cádiz CF.
LALIGA Genuine Moeve is holding its third phase of the current season this weekend in Granada. Villarreal EDI (team with intellectual disabilities) will travel to the Granada CF training ground to enjoy a new day of sport and inclusion.
The schedule features two attractive fixtures for the Yellows. The action will kick-off on Saturday afternoon at 4pm CEST with a thrilling regional derby against Valencia CF. After a night’s rest, the team will return to action on Sunday morning (10:30am CEST) to test themselves against Cádiz CF. As is customary in the tournament rules, the matches will be divided into four periods of ten minutes each.
With the momentum and confidence of the second phase
The Yellows arrive at this event in Granada with an extra injection of motivation. In the previous phase, the Yellows managed to get their first win on the board. Despite falling to a 1-3 defeat in their first match against UD Almería, the team were able to bounce back in style and played a great game to beat CF Fuenlabrada in a tight and exciting 1-2 win. Now, the objective is to maintain that competitive level without losing the essence of the tournament: respect and sportsmanship.
In Granada, Villarreal EDI will be led by Claudia Chust, Rafael Julián, Antonio Jiménez and Sonia Alcón, and represented by the following players: Abraham Martínez, Javier Ruiz, José Manuel Vicent, Daniel Ortiz, Aitor Luna, Oriol Mezquita, David Pliego, David García, Eduardo Hernández, Iván Mengual, Nerea Gil, Yeray Casado, Victor Boulouden, Luis Fernando García, María de Jorge and Ricardo Escribano.
