The Franco-Congolese defender has undergone surgery for a hamstring muscle tear in his left leg
Villarreal CF’s Franco-Congolese defender Willy Kambwala underwent surgery this morning for a hamstring muscle tear in his left leg, sustained in the friendly against Genoa in Oviedo on Thursday 31st July.
After assessing all possible treatment options, Villarreal CF’s medical services, together with specialist doctors, decided that surgery was the best option for the player’s recovery. The operation was carried out by Dr Lasse Lempainen at the NEO clinic in Turku (Finland).
The estimated recovery time will depend on the player’s progress. The club wishes him a swift and successful recovery. Stay strong, Willy!
