The Yellows will represent their country in the matches against Denmark and Serbia
Spain have called up Yeremy Pino and Álex Baena for the matches against Denmark (12th October) and Serbia (15th October) in the UEFA Nations League.
La Roja will face the Danish side at the Enrique Roca in Murcia, while the game against the Balkan side will take place at the Nuevo Arcángel in Córdoba.
Four academy graduates in the Spain squad
Yeremy Pino and Álex Baena have been called up at the same time to a Spain squad for the first time in more than a year (September 2023), despite both players having been regulars for La Roja in recent years.
The winger from the Canary Islands has 13 caps to his name since making his debut against Italy on 6th October 2021, aged just 19. His knee injury last season saw him miss more than seven months of football, but after recovering, he was called up against by La Roja in September.
The situation with Baena is distinct, with the midfielder from Roquetas de Mar making his Spain debut on 12th September 2023. Since then, he has five caps for his country, with whom he won the European Championships this summer. He was also an important part of the Spain squad at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Former Villarreal players and academy graduates Pau Torres (Aston Villa) and Aleix Garcia (Bayer Leverkusen) have also been called up by Luis de la Fuente.
