The Villarreal CF ground hosts a total of 12 events after the end of the 2023/24 season
The Estadio de la Cerámica is much more than just a football stadium. Thanks to its spectacular transformation, Villarreal CF has turned its pitch into a meeting point where leisure, catering and the organisation of corporate events and private celebrations converge. It is one of the great nerve centres of public life in Vila-real and the province of Castellón.
Despite the end of the sporting season at the end of May, the Estadio de la Cerámica continued at full capacity in June. Without a break, it has hosted and will host a total of 12 events of a corporate, sporting or festive nature.
The first stop on this merry-go-round of celebrations and events was the end-of-season farewell meal, held at the El Ceramista restaurant, which was attended by the first team squad and coaching staff, as well as members of the coaching staff of the B team and Villarreal Women, accompanied by members of the board of directors, sponsors and representatives of the APV (official supporters’ group).
Before welcoming June, Villarreal CF presented, in collaboration with Glovo, the new gastronomic space called El Corner Sports Bar Del Poble. In this special corner of La Cerámica, you can enjoy the best sporting events , including Villarreal CF matches, along with a wide gastronomic variety.
The Estadio de la Cerámica also breathed football during the month of June. The stadium hosted, for the second time in its history, the prestigious Ascale LALIGA FC FUTURES U12 national tournament in its entirety. The Yellows U12s (Alevín A) lost in a penalty shoot-out in the quarter-finals.
Football gave way to the best festive atmosphere. In mid-June, La Cerámica hosted the Fan Fest, an open day for all groguets with different activities, live music and the Cursa Solidària Celtic Submarí charity race as the main attraction of the day. The event was a great success: a total of 7,000 Yellows’ fans enjoyed the day.
Also, a week later, for the second consecutive season, the club’s employees’ 7-a-side football tournament was held, followed by a social meal.
At the end of June, CaixaBank carried out an exciting activation at the stadium. The financial institution, a sponsor of the Yellows since 2013, held a competition with its customers to enjoy a unique day at the Estadio de la Cerámica, where they received official shirts, played a match and completed the Inmersión Villarreal Museum&Tour.
To round off, during the last week of June, the Estadio de la Cerámica hosted two youth football tournaments organised by the club: the Villarreal Academy Cup, a fun competition for the international academies linked to the club, and the Yellow Summer Cup, a competition in which 156 teams from 54 clubs from all over the world took part and in which the Yellows’ stadium was the venue for the final phase.
At the same time, there was also a training session for the Villarreal CF Select Camp teams, both boys and girls, ahead of their participation in the Yellow Summer Cup tournament.
In the coming weeks, the Estadio de la Cerámica Camp, the Villarreal CF Pro Campus and the Ascale Tournament, consisting of football matches and talks that include activities at El Ceramista, will put the finishing touch to a summer of full activity at the Estadio de la Cerámica, before the start of the 2024/25 season and the league match against Atlético de Madrid, which will be played on Monday 19th August at 9:30pm CEST.
