Setién expects a competitive game against Cádiz CF (Wednesday, 7.30pm CEST)

Villarreal CF head coach Quique Setién appeared in the press room at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground to talk about this Wednesday’s match against Cádiz, which will be played at 7.30pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Here are the key things he had to say:

The match against Cádiz CF

“Cádiz are a team that know what they do and they will surely make us uncomfortable. I think we’ll see a game in which we’ll be in control, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to score or win easily because they also know how to defend and have good players. We will have to be inspired in the small spaces when we attack and watch out for their possible counter attacks.”

The importance of the fans

“I guess they will be happy because the team has qualified for Europe for another season. I hope they can see themselves recognised with the players and the team, something that has been going on for a while now.”

Aim for the last three games

“The aim, within the things we can control, is to continue with the good run that has allowed us to get into Europe mathematically. We still have the challenge of taking as many points as possible while waiting for what Real Sociedad can do. As long as mathematically it’s not all said and done, we have to keep fighting to win and take points”.
