Villarreal CF Manager, Javi Calleja, is clear on the road to take to beat Girona
In today’s press conference, Villarreal CF Manager, Javi Calleja, asserted that the best way to take on the Submarine’s upcoming league clash against Girona FC (Sunday, 4:15pm CEST) is to maintain their style of play. The Yellows boss says the team must keep improving: “Our aim is to improve every game. Against Girona we want to be ourselves, maintain our identity. The team is on the right track and we have to keep going along these lines”.
However, Calleja is not underestimating Girona: “They are a tough opponent. They play with a different formation, playing with three centre backs and getting a lot of players forward. What’s more, they are coming from playing in the second division, so every game is a final for them”.
