Fran Escribá said the team was affected by having so many players out
After the match against Levante the Villarreal Manager, Fran Escribá, said that the Yellows, who were limted with so many players out, could not find any solutions against a Levante side that was better. “We were affected by the number of players unavailable, but we didn’t have solutions on or off the pitch. We didn’t do well and we lost a point at the end that, maybe we didn’t deserve, but it was in our hands. Now, we have to think about our next match, where we’ll get two players back from suspensión and we’ll try to do better”.
The Mananger also commented on the little time between Villarreal CF’s first and second league fixtures, as they play Real Sociedad away this Friday (Anoeta, 8:15pm CEST). “I don’t understand how we can have four days between one match and another. It doesn’t make any sense to play on Monday and then again on Friday. I don’t know who this depends on, but it is not Villarreal. It’s not normal that Real have six days rest and we have four”.
