Jordi Ferriols’ side continue their good run with an impressive result away from home
Villarreal Women are back fighting. Jordi Ferriols’ side showed that in Logroño by earning a valuable point away from Miralcamp (2-2), which, along with last weekend’s 2-0 win at home to Getafe, to give them a boost of confidence for the final stretch of the season and move them away from the fear of a double relegation. It’s exactly what the Yellows needed to get out of the sea of doubts that the results had been leading them into since November.

After the restart, the referee awarded Villarreal a penalty. From the spot, Alexia Jr. put Villarreal back in front, but their joy was short-lived. Two minutes later, DUX replied with a goal from Sonya, which put the scoreboard back on level terms.
Although there was still plenty of time left to swing the game in favour of one of the contenders, the draw proved to be definitive. For the Yellows, the point means the start of a positive dynamic under Jordi Ferriols and a move away from the relegation zone.
