Villarreal will play a pre-season tournament in Newcastle

The Submarine will face Nice and the hosts on the weekend of 5^th and 6^th August

Villarreal CF can now confirm two more pre-season friendlies. In this case, both matches are part of the Sela Cup, a tournament organised by Newcastle United FC and which will be played at St. James’ Park on the weekend of 5^th and 6^th August.

Specifically, the Submarine will face OGC Nice on Saturday 5^th at 1:30pm CEST, while a day later they will take on Newcastle United FC, also at St. James’ Park, at 5pm CEST.

There are currently seven confirmed pre-season friendlies for Villarreal:

• Saturday 15^th July: FC St. Gallen vs Villarreal CF, 6pm CEST.
• Tuesday 18^th July: SC Rheindorf Altach vs Villarreal CF, 7:30pm CEST.
• Saturday 22^nd July: Hannover 96 vs Villarreal CF, 2pm CEST.
• Thursday 27th July: Feyenoord vs Villarreal CF, 8pm CEST.
• Sunday 30^th July: Sporting Clube de Portugal vs Villarreal CF (time TBC).
• Saturday 5^th August: OGC Nice vs Villarreal CF, 1:30pm CEST.
• Sunday 6^th August: Newcastle United FC vs Villarreal CF, 5pm CEST
