Calleja’s team were paid a well-deserved tribute at half-time of the Real Sociedad match
The Villarreal CF U19 A team were given an ovation by El Madrigal’s crowd at half-time of the league match against Real Sociedad. The young Yellows took the field where they were paid a well-deserved tribute. The reason for the tribute being the great season they are having, as they have already been named champions of Group VII of the Honour Division (División de Honor) for the second consecutive season.
After a fantastic league season, Villarreal U19s will now face Las Palmas in the Quarter-finals of the Champions Cup (Copa de Campeones) on the 2nd May, and Málaga in the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey on 15th and 22nd May.
Without a doubt, this tribute from all the Yellows supporters will serve Javi Calleja’s side well, encouraging them to face these two competitions with plenty of enthusiasm.
