The Yellows sponsor 33 clubs and 16 athletes from the province of Castellón
Villarreal are keeping their commitment to sport in the province of Castellón. The Yellows have presented the Endavant Esports project for the 2021/22 season, which will involve 33 clubs and 16 sponsored athletes. To launch this year’s project, vice-president José Manuel Llaneza has been photographed with the clubs and individual athletes who have joined the initiative this year.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficulties that surrounds the world of support, Villarreal CF have continued their commitment to the sports sponsorship programme, investing more than €700,000 which contributes to and helps develop elite sport in the province of Castellón.
The initiative, which started in 2004 with support to Olympic medallist Pablo Herrera, will reach nearly 7,000 athletes in the province of all ages and disciplines, who all benefit from the Yellows’ sponsorship project.
The spirit of Endavant Esports is being able to help the growth of sport in Castellón, as part of the social commitment that the club has with its surroundings, trying to return to society and the province the support it receives. The project involves economic and sporting support, as the club, as well as giving economic support to those who are part of the project, also gives those involved use of its medical service, the use of its facilities and everything possible at its reach to help develop the athletes.
The 33 clubs that form part of the intiative are the following: CA Playas de Castellón (athletics), TAU Castelló (basketball), Penyagolosa Trails (athletics), CFS Bisontes Castellón (futsal), Servigroup Peñíscola FS (futsal), CV l’Illa Grau (volleyball), CV Mediterráneo (volleyball), CV Grau Castelló (volleyball), CD Balonmano Castellón (handball), Club Baloncesto Benicarló (basketball), Club Natación Castalia Castellón (swimming), Hockey Club Castellón (hockey), Club Waterpolo Castellón (water polo), Vila-Sport Fútbol Sala (futsal), Club Patí Castalia (hockey), Amics Handbol Onda (handball), Club Atletisme Vila-real (athletics), Club Eolo Castellón (sailing), Club Deportivo Granjo (taekwondo), Club Esportiu Bàsquet Vila-real (basketball), Club Patí Ciutat de Vila-real (inline skating), Club Patí Almassora (skating), Vila-real Bàsquet Club (basketball), Vila-real Club Rugby Penyagolosa (rugby), Club Tritons Vila-real (swimming), Club Triatló Tritrail de Castelló de la Plana (athletics), Club Natació Vila-real (swimming), Club Natación Azahar Sincro (synchronised swimming), Club Ciclista Sepelaco (cycling), Club Handbol Nules (handball), Club Handbol Unió Esportiva Betxí (handball), Club Natación Nados Castellón (swimming) and Templo Marcial Castellón (martial arts).
The 15 individual athletes who form part of the Endavant Esports projects are the following: Roberto Bautista (tennis), Pablo Herrera (beach volleyball), Sebastián Mora (cycling), Lidón Muñoz (swimming), Jairo Noriega (boxing), Puchol II (Valencian pilota), Aida Beteta (cycling), Carmen Jiménez (Valencian pilota), Diego López (Valencian pilota), Marta Fernández (caneoing), Nacho Serra (tennis), Óscar Pelegrí (cycling), Óscar Cabedo (cycling), Pablo Ania (paddleboarding) and Vicente Claramonte (kayaking).
The new clubs and athletes who have joined the programme organised by Villarreal CF and the Fundación Villarreal CF are Club Ciclista Sepelaco, Club Deportivo Balonmano Castellón, Club Handbol Nules, Club Handbol Unió Esportiva Betxí, Club Natación Nados Castellón, Templo Marcial Castellón, Club Natación Azahar Sincro and cyclist Óscar Cabedo.
