Villarreal CF CEO, Fernando Roig Negueroles, this Friday took part in the ‘Taxation and finance in football’ (Fiscalidad y finanzas en el fútbol) conference, organised by the Valencia College of Economists (Colegio de Economistas de Valencia) and held at the Sabadell’s Business Hub in the capital of the Turia.
The conference dealt with the taxation of sport in our country, covering a wide range of topics such as the application of the Beckham Law and special tax deductions in Madrid, sport and business collaboration, taxation and transfers, the tax residence of sportsmen and women, sport as an enhancer of the economy, the agreement in women’s football and national representation and taxation.
Moderated by Juan José Enríquez, dean of the Valencia College of Economists, the round table was also attended by Federico Marco, director general of Wasserman España; Fernando Giner, former football player; Inma Lidón, sports journalist for El Mundo; and Marta Peiró, co-president of the Tax Commission of the Valencia College of Economists.
