

The event was held in the Vila-real Auditorium and was full of surprises
More than five hundred fans filled Vila-real’s Auditorium this evening for the Presentation Gala of the 2016/17 Villarreal CF Season Ticket Campaign. It was a spectacular event, full of surprises, which kicked off with a special video where attendees were able to see the reasons why ‘Ser del Villarreal, mola’ (‘Being a Villarreal fan is cool’). The video brilliantly showed how cool it is to be a part of a model, stable and ambitious sporting project, at a club that is so friendly and home-like. Cool to be part of a club that will be returning to the Champions League, or playing in the UEFA Europa League, travelling around Europe like every year, getting to see new cities and enjoying unforgettable experiences.
It is cool to have exemplary fans that go out of their way to get behind their team for every match. Cool to feel part of a club that looks after its supporters, recognizes their support, rewards their loyalty and shares their values. Cool that our club’s structure is built on grassroots football, with Reserve and Academy teams of the highest level, boasting two Training Grounds and with internationals in every age group. Cool that the club is using the latest technologies to get even closer to fans.
Cool to be from a club that goes beyond football. A club that makes an effort to collaborate in the growth and development of the Castellón province. A club that is committed socially, that is supportive, gets behind other clubs and athletes, tourism, culture, education and has its own kids club. Ser del Villarreal, mola.
Later on the time came to review a historical season for Villarreal CF, in which the Submarine qualified for the Qualifying play-offs round of the UEFA Champions League after finishing in fourth place in LaLiga and also got to the Semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
It has been a great season sport wise. And also community wise thanks to the ‘Endavant’ brand. This was the next part of Villarreal CF’s coolest Gala. Nevertheless, the club goes beyond football and carries out numerous activities with social, educational and cultural purposes, also collaborating with clubs and athletes from the province for many years now and promoting tourism in Castellón.
As of two years ago, this effort has been part of the ‘Endavant’ brand and the Yellow family has got so much bigger. This year the club has improved this brand further by adding ‘Endavant Igualtat’, an initiative that has had a great impact on national and international football, in which different teams from the club have sponsored special centres for the disabled from the Castellón province throughout the season. In addition, Villarreal CF has also created two EDI (Escuela de Discapacidad Intelectual – School for the Intelectually Disabled) teams.
After the review of the Endavant initiative, the awaited moment came with the detailed explanation of the new Season Ticket campaign for the 2016/17 season. Villarreal CF President, Fernando Roig, took the floor to address the fans and explain in detail the most important points for a campaign that will once again reward the supporters’ loyalty.
An initiative that has been well received by fans, as 43% of season-ticket holders are classed as VYP Gold or VYP Silver for last season, and the club has passed 70% for this season, who will benefit from the significant discounts on passes. Furthermore, the turnout at El Madrigal has improved, with 61,000 more attendees and tickets sold than the previous campaign, an average of 2,200 more for every match. In total, between season-ticket holders and tickets sold the club has had an 82% match attendance on average, which is an increase of 12% from last season.
One of the main surprises at the Gala was the presentation of the new Villarreal CF App. The Submarine debuts a new, completely free official application for mobiles and tablets. The App is already available for download both on the Apple Store (iOS) and on Google Play (Android) and comes complete with novelties that allow fans to keep up with all the club’s latest news.
What’s more, the application comes with a feature that allows fans to renew their Season Ticket ahead of the 2016/17 season, starting this Monday, thanks to a quick and easy process.
After the presentation of the new App it was time to pay some tributes. The member of the Villarreal U12s who were crowned champions of the XXV LaLiga Promises tournament will go on stage to receive a well deserved tribute from the public who will fill the Vila-real Auditorium.
The finishing touch to the spectacular Presentation Gala of the 2016/17 Villarreal CF Season Ticket Campaign will be in the hands of a music band who will represent all the musicians that have participated for the last two seasons in the Endavant Província initiative at El Madrigal. The performance was very special as in the same piece the musicians delighted the audience with the Villarreal CF Official song, the ‘Yellow Submarne’ song and the UEFA Champions League anthem. A perfect combination to see out Villarreal CF’s ‘coolest’ Gala yet.
