Villarreal CF want to be strong at home, and to do so, need to get a good result against Real Valladolid at the Estadio de la Cerámica (Saturday, 4:15pm CET). After a good performance in the previous match against Atlético de Madrid at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, the Submarine want to continue with good results, this time at home in the game corresponding to Matchday 22 of the 2024/25 LALIGA EA Sports season.
The Yellow Submarine host a team in dire need of a win. The team from Valladolid arrive at the Estadio de la Cerámica at the bottom of the table after losing their last match against Real Madrid (0-3). They have one win and four defeats in their last five games.
In the previous direct confrontation between the two teams, played at the Estadio José Zorrilla, Marcelino’s side won (1-2), Thierno Barry and Ayoze tipped the balance in favour of the Submarine, after a match in which they saw many of their chances repelled by goalkeeper Karl Hein.
Villarreal CF, who are looking to continue to improve their home record this season, will be hoping to build on their last home game against RCD Mallorca. For their part, Real Valladolid CF visit Vila-real as one of the worst away teams in the division, having managed just one win in their ten games outside of Valladolid. However, on their last visit to La Cerámica they managed to win (1-2) on Matchday 29 of the 2023/24 season.
