The alliance with the Japanese rugby team includes training programmes in Tokyo and Vila-real through the Endavant project
Villarreal CF has reached a collaboration agreement with RICOH BlackRams Tokyo, a leading Japanese rugby team that competes in the prestigious Japan Rugby League One, the country’s top professional division.
This partnership with the prominent Japanese rugby club will give international visibility to Villarreal CF’s social and environmental work through the Endavant programme and within the framework of ESG Sustainability, while also promoting social management and a positive impact on the community.
As part of this agreement, Villarreal CF and RICOH BlackRams Tokyo will carry out a range of training and cooperation programmes, both online and in person in Tokyo and Vila-real. These initiatives, channelled through the Endavant project, will include the promotion of inclusive sport for people with functional diversity, the introduction of sport as an educational tool for children through initiatives such as the Psychomotricity Course, and the promotion of sustainable, environmentally friendly sports facilities, in line with Villarreal CF’s commitment to these values.
Furthermore, this alliance marks a new step in Villarreal CF’s internationalisation and in the creation of a global, innovative sports ecosystem committed to society and the planet, extending its international collaboration network and strengthening its presence and image in Asia.
The future cooperation between both entities will focus on the comprehensive management of professional sport, striving for sporting excellence while also fostering responsible and sustainable environments. This objective aligns with the global sustainability challenges to which Villarreal CF is committed.
