The Yellow Submarine are in Group D and will face Espanyol, Barcelona, Valencia and Shanghai Port
Villarreal CF have begun their journey in the first U12 Club World Cup – LALIGA FC Futures, which is being held in Brunete (Madrid). For the first time, this event brings together 20 elite clubs from five continents, in a special celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the tournament.
The group stage will take place from 25th to 27th March. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals, which will be played on the morning of Saturday 28th March. The semi-finals will take place that same afternoon. On Sunday 29th March, the match for third place and the grand final will be played.
Villarreal in Group D
The Yellows will compete in Group D. This is their match schedule:
- Wednesday 25/03, 5:30pm – RCD Espanyol
- Thursday 26/03, 1:30pm – FC Barcelona
- Thursday 26/03, 6pm – Shanghai Port FC
- Friday 27/03, 1:30pm – Valencia CF
