Both clubs have renewed their collaboration agreement with regards to youth football for the seventh season in a row
A fruitful relationship with a past, a present and a future. Villarreal CF and CD Oliver have renewed their collaboration agreement with regards to youth football for the seventh consecutive season. Andrés Pardo, head of the technical committee, and president of the club from Zaragoza, Ángel de Miguel Borobia, were both at the act that made the extension official, which took place at the Training Ground.
Players like current first-team squad member Manu Morlanes have passed through the ranks of CD Oliver. The club is growing every year and is now a leading academy for youth football in the province of Aragón. This year, a total of three new players have left CD Oliver to become part of the Yellows Academy: Manu Rodríguez, David Val and Nico Pérez.
CD Oliver currently has 36 teams and also has agreements with another three clubs in Zaragoza that have 10 external teams. “We’re continuing to grow. When I become president we had 14, and every year there are more of us,” says Ángel de Miguel Borobia.
For the CD Oliver president, they are completely in symphony with Villarreal: “We’ve been an associated club for seven years and we feel that we’re part of Villarreal. It’s a way of living, a way of seeing football. We’re 100% Yellows. In fact, our away kit is yellow and it’s JOMA. We’re in complete synchronicity with the way we work. We work hand in hand. We use Villarreal CF’s methodology.”
Villarreal CF has a number of affiliated clubs both nationally and internationally to help the growth of players and coaches. Many young talents who started at these clubs are now completely integrated in the Yellows Academy.
The following clubs are affiliated wth Villarreal CF: CD Roda, Escuela de Fútbol Torre-Pacheco, CD Oliver, A.D.I.U.R., Mislata UF, CD Floresta, Lacross Babel, Benicarló Base Fútbol, UDE Vall de Uxó, Vila d’Onda and Élitei Project.
