The Yellows, who came close to winning the match in the second half, keep picking up points
The Villarreal B team rescued a point from the ever-difficult clash against Municipal Sagnier de la AE Prat, in which the Yellows got better and better throughout the game and almost took the victory after an especially good second half by Paco López’s side. In the end, the match finished in a goalless draw against the side from Barcelona, which means the Mini Submarine keep adding to their account.
The first half was evenly matched. With very direct and competitive football on show, it was the locals who had the first good chance in the 8th minute, but Forgas’ effort was off target.
In the second half, the Villarreal B team brought the ball down and looked to control the game, creating several clear goal scoring opportunities. The first to test the Catalonian side was Aitor Cantalapiedra, with two powerful shots to the top corner, but both were kept out by the AE Prat goalkeeper. Paco López’s side’s best chance came from a corner kick, Edgar Ié made contact with the ball and sent it into the path of Ramiro, who found himsel one on one against the goalkeeper, but his great strike was parried and narrowly missed. The match finished with no goals and it was a bravely won point by the Yellows Reserves.
