The Mini Submarine came away empty-handed in a tight tie against a more clinical opponent
Villarreal B lost to Gimnàstic de Tarragona at the Mini Estadi (1-2). Miguel Álvarez’s side were unable to get anything from a tight game, where the rub of the green saw the away side come away with the victory.
The Yellows started the game excellently. They had control of the ball, pushing the Catalan side back, and had the first chance of the match to go ahead on the scoreboard. The away side’s goal came from Fullana and set Villarreal B back, with the Mini Submarine struggling to impresse as they had during the opening moments.
