The Mini Submarine now total 11 matches without defeat thanks to goals from Diatta and Ayman
Villarreal B earned three valuable points after defeating CD Eldense (2-0) in the postponed Matchday 24 fixture of the Primera Federación, thanks to goals from Alassane Diatta and Ayman Arguigue. The Mini Submarine have now gone 11 consecutive matches unbeaten.
The match began with an intense and combination-based Eldense side that created danger in the groguet area. In fact, Bellari produced the first dangerous chance in the eighth minute, but it was well dealt with by Rubén Gómez. As the minutes went by, Villarreal B began to find spaces and looked to surprise their opponents. Budesca had an opportunity in the 16th minute, Eto’o was unable to finish accurately in the 24th minute, and Hugo López’s effort in the 36th minute was cleared off the line by a defender from the away side.
The reward came just before half-time. In the 44th minute, Budesca was brought down inside the area and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Alassane Diatta took responsibility from 12 yards and made no mistake, putting the Mini Submarine ahead (1-0).
After the restart, the match entered a phase of alternating possession, with plenty of control and few clear chances for either side. In the 75th minute, Viveros tried to latch onto a through ball, but the visiting goalkeeper anticipated well to claim it. In the closing stages, Eldense pushed in search of an equaliser and caused some concern, although the yellow defence responded solidly.
In stoppage time, the Mini Submarine sealed the victory. In the 90th minute, Ayman Arguigue took advantage of an attacking move to score the definitive 2-0.
