Villarreal have equalled their record for fewest goals conceded and are now in European places
Villarreal have ended the first half of the LaLiga championship with 31 points and are currently in the European places (fifth). It is also worth noting that the Submarine have conceded just 14 goals in 19 games, which means that they have equalled their best defensive record since they have been in the top flight of Spanish football. That was in the 2016/2017 season, when the Yellows had conceded just 14 goals in the entire first half of the season.
